SMS Terms & Conditions
Effective and last updated: August 21, 2026
These SMS Terms & Conditions govern participation in Crown Point High School Alerts, a text messaging program operated by Crown Point High School and its operator, Educational Options Foundation (collectively, “the School,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By voluntarily opting in, you agree to these terms.
1. Program Description
Crown Point High School Alerts provides recurring informational SMS or MMS messages to parents, legal guardians, eligible students, and other authorized school contacts. Messages may concern:
- Attendance, absences, late arrivals, or a student who did not arrive as expected;
- Academic progress, assignments, grades, interventions, and graduation planning;
- Enrollment, registration, schedules, appointments, records, and deadlines;
- School events, closures, transportation, safety issues, or emergencies;
- Other matters reasonably related to a student’s education, well-being, or school support.
This program is not used to send third-party marketing or promotional advertisements.
2. Consent and Eligibility
You may enroll by providing a valid mobile number and affirmatively agreeing to receive text messages through an approved School enrollment, registration, contact, or messaging consent process. The SMS consent option must be selected voluntarily and is separate from other agreements.
By opting in, you confirm that:
- You are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided, or you are authorized to consent for that number;
- You authorize the School and its messaging service providers to send recurring school-related text messages to that number;
- You will notify the School if the number is reassigned, disconnected, or no longer belongs to you.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of enrollment, receiving educational services, or obtaining any other service from the School.
3. Message Frequency and Charges
Message frequency varies. Message volume depends on attendance, academic, enrollment, scheduling, safety, and other school-related circumstances.
Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier’s rates and terms govern charges associated with sending or receiving messages. Contact your carrier if you have questions about your text or data plan.
4. Opting Out
Reply STOP to opt out.
After you reply STOP, you may receive one final confirmation message. No further SMS messages will be sent from this program unless you opt in again. The School may still contact you through telephone calls, email, postal mail, the student portal, or other legally permitted methods.
Where supported, reply START to opt in again after opting out, or contact the School for assistance.
5. Help and Support
Reply HELP for help.
You may also call Crown Point High School at 623-845-0781.
6. Delivery and Carrier Disclaimer
Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and is not guaranteed. Messages may be delayed, blocked, or undelivered because of carrier availability, network conditions, device settings, service interruptions, an invalid or reassigned number, or other circumstances beyond the School’s control.
Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.
Supported carriers and features may change without notice. The program may not be available on every device, plan, or carrier.
7. Safety and Emergencies
Text messaging is not a substitute for emergency services. Do not use this program to report an emergency or urgent threat. Call 911 when immediate emergency assistance is needed. Because delivery is not guaranteed, do not rely solely on SMS for time-sensitive safety information.
8. Privacy
Our collection and use of SMS information are described in the Crown Point High School SMS Privacy Policy. Mobile information and text messaging consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
9. Program Changes and Termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the program or these terms when reasonably necessary. We will post updated terms at this location and revise the effective date above. If required by law or applicable messaging rules, we will provide additional notice or obtain new consent.
We may remove a number from the program if we believe the number is invalid, has been reassigned, presents a security or compliance risk, or is being used improperly.
